CEXEC for the Cure

CEXEC, Inc. is forming a team to participate in the 2010 Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure.  The purpose of our team is to raise money for "Komen for the Cure."  Our team will consist of interested CEXEC employees, family and friends who are willing to "go the distance" when it comes to fighting for a cure for Breast Cancer!  We will be competing against other teams from around the world, to see who can come up with the most money to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to combat this dreadful disease.

What is Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure?

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.  In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement.  Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure and the Breast Cancer 3-Days, the organization has invested more than $1.3 billion to fulfill its promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.  To learn more about the Susan G. We Need Your Help!

Without support from volunteers, and corporate sponsors like CEXEC, Breast Cancer will continue to strike down our friends and family.  We all know someone who is or has been affected by this disease.  The time is now to put your best foot forward to help those “someones” in your life.  The Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure is a fund raising drive that begins now, and culminates in a 5k “race” on The Mall in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 5th, 2010.  On the day of the Komen Global Race for the Cure, the National Mall will be filled with breast cancer survivors, and advocates of all ages.
